The ICC World T20 is scheduled to be held in Australia from 18 October to 15 November. There are 16 teams participating in the tournament, with the top 10 ICC ranked teams and 6 teams qualifying through the qualifiers.
The 2020 T20 World Cup now includes teams from Papua New Guinea, Ireland and Oman with Sri Lanka in Group A, while Group B includes Bangladesh, Netherlands, Namibia, and Scotland. The top two teams from both groups will qualify for the Super 12.
There are going to be two groups in Super 12, with each group having 6-6 teams. Pakistan, Australia, New Zealand, and West Indies will be in the first group. Apart from this, the team that finished first in Group A and second in the group will also go to the first group.
India, England, South Africa, and Afghanistan will have teams in the second group. Apart from this, the teams that finished first in Group B and second in Group A will go to the second group.
Sri Lanka will face Ireland in the first match of the T20 World Cup. Apart from this, the Indian team will start their campaign with a match against South Africa on 24 October.
Apart from this, the team’s matches will be against the second-placed team in Group A on 29 October, England on 1 November, the first-placed team in Group B on 5 November and Afghanistan on 8 November.
The final of the tournament will take place in Melbourne on 15 November. All matches in the entire tournament will take place in 7 cities in Australia (Melbourne, Sydney, Perth, Hobart, Adelaide, Brisbane, and Geelong).
