At the end of this year’s ODI calendar, Rohit Sharma was the highest run-scorer in ODIs, while Indian fast bowler Mohammad Shami was the highest wicket-taker in ODI cricket this year.
Cricket World Cup was played in 2019 and apart from that, the teams did not play much ODI cricket. Talking about Australia, they have not played an ODI since the 2019 World Cup. India and West Indies have played the most matches this year.
Let’s take a look at the five batsmen who have scored the most centuries in ODI cricket this year.
David Warner returned to the Australian team with the Cricket World Cup 2019 after suffering a 12-month ban in ball-tampering. Warner performed brilliantly in the World Cup and scored 647 runs in 10 innings in 10 matches. Warner scored three centuries in the World Cup and his highest score was 166.
Apart from Warner, seven other batsmen of top-10 teams also scored 3-3 centuries in ODI cricket this year, but they played more innings for it. England’s Jason Roy (14 innings, 3 centuries), Jose Butler (20 innings, 3 centuries), Joe Root (22 innings, 3 centuries) and Johnny Bairstow (20 innings, 3 centuries).
Apart from Pakistan’s Babar Azam (20 innings, 3 centuries) and Imam ul Haq (21 innings, 3 centuries), New Zealand’s Martin Guptill (20 innings, 3 centuries) is also in this list.
Australia’s limited-overs team captain Aaron Finch scored 1,141 runs in 23 innings of 23 ODIs this year. Finch scored in ODI cricket this year with an average of 51.86..
This year Finch was the fourth-highest run-scorer in ODI cricket. Finch scored four centuries in ODI cricket this year and his highest score was 153 *.
West Indies wicket-keeper batsman She Hope performed brilliantly for his team in ODI cricket this year. Hope, who played as an opener batsman, scored 1,345 runs in 26 innings of 28 ODIs this year at an average of 61.
Hope was the third-highest run-scorer in ODIs this year. Hope also scored four ODI centuries on par with Finch this year, but he played three innings more than Finch.

Rohit Sharma, the highest run-scorer in ODI cricket this year, also maintained his dominance in terms of centuries. Rohit made himself the highest century batsman in a World Cup by scoring five centuries in the World Cup 2019.
This year, Rohit, who scored the most 1,490 runs in ODI cricket, scored the maximum seven centuries. Rohit’s highest score this year was 159 and he scored at an average of 57.
