1. Taizul Islam
Bangladesh off-spinner bowler Taizul Islam is the first bowler in the world to take a hat-trick in his ODI debut. Taizul played his first debut in international cricket against Zimbabwe on 1 December 2014. In which he took a hat-trick by dismissing the 7th, 8th and 9th batsmen of the Zimbabwe team.
During his hat-trick, Taizul made Tinashe Panyangara, John Numbu, and Tendai Chatara his prey. In this match, Tazul took 4 wickets for 11 runs in 7 overs and was elected Man the Match at the end of the match. The Bangladeshi team won by 5 wickets in this match.
2. Kagiso Rabada
South Africa team’s fast bowler Kagiso Rabada is a world-class bowler. He is considered one of the top 5 bowlers in the current round. Rabada created a hat-trick in his debut ODI. Rabada made his ODI debut against Bangladesh on 10 July 2015 at the Dhaka ground.
Rabada dismissed 3 Bangladesh batsmen for the last three balls of the fourth over of the match and scored a hat-trick. Rabada’s hat-trick included the wickets of Tamim Iqbal, Lytton Das, and Mahmudullah. In this match, Rabada took 6 wickets giving just 16 runs in 8 overs.
3. Vindu Tauranga
Sri Lankan bowler Vanidu Hasranga is the first and third bowler from Sri Lanka to take a hat-trick in his ODI debut match. Tauranga played his first ODI against Zimbabwe on 2 July 2017. In his very first match, Hasranga scored a hat-trick while performing brilliantly.
Tauranga took this hat-trick in his third over. In which he ended the Zimbabwe innings by dismissing Malcolm Waller, Donald Tiripano and Tendai Chatara. Zimbabwe’s team was reduced to 155 runs in this match, and Sri Lanka won the match by 7 wickets.
4. Shahan Madhushanka
Shahan Madhushanka is the second Sri Lankan and the fourth bowler in the world to score a hat-trick in a debut match. Madhushanka had a chance to make her debut against Bangladesh on 27 July 2018. Madhushanka dismissed Mahmudullah and Mashrafe Mortaza for the last two balls of the 39th over of the match.
Then when he came to bowl in the 41st over, he took the wicket of Rubel Hussain on the first ball of the over. In this way, Madhushanka recorded his hat-trick. In the match, Madhushanka took three wickets for 26 runs in 6.1 overs.
