Sri Lanka beat hosts Zimbabwe by ten wickets in the first match of the two-Test series in Harare. Sri Lanka achieved the target of 14 runs from Zimbabwe in the last session on the last day without losing any wickets. Angelo Mathews was adjudged Man of the Match for scoring an unbeaten 200 for Sri Lanka in the first innings.
Zimbabwe won the toss and decided to bat first and scored 358 runs in the first innings. For him, the innings of 85 runs were the most from Craig Irwin.
Kevin Kasuza also hit a half-century. Lasith Ambuldenia took five wickets for Sri Lanka in the first innings, bowling brilliantly. Apart from them Suranga Lakmal also took three wickets.

Playing in the second innings in front of Sri Lanka’s big lead, Zimbabwe’s second innings was reduced to 170 runs. He got a thirteen run lead.
In the second innings for Sri Lanka, Suranga Lakmal took four and Lahiru Kumara took three wickets. Chasing a target of 14 runs, Sri Lanka won by ten wickets in the last session.
